Get your web development, and tech related questions answered

Working on a new site now because I realized this one was too broad and it probably annoyed a lot of people when I would post random stuff.

That’s why I have just decided to open up a new site “Nick Larson“, where I will be answering your web development, mac, and other tech related questions free of charge virtually 24 hours a day.

The really cool part is that I will not only be answering questions from blog posts, but I will be answering via live streams on my web-cam and videos as well!

So do you have a question that you want me to answer? What are you waiting for? ASK IT!

Apple Ipod Touch Review

I’m sure a bunch of people including yourself has seen or heard about the new iPods. Apple redid their whole line of iPods with new colors, more storage, and better graphics/features. Also, we can’t forget about my favorite, the brand new iPod Touch.

Apparently this thing has the same features of the iPhone, just without the cellphone part. The other thing that struck me as being cool is how it is much thinner than the iPhone at only 8mm! The Touch comes with Apple’s standard Safari browser so you can connect to any wireless network (assuming it isn’t locked or you know the password). I’m really looking forward to this as it would be something great that I could take to class with me and mess around on ;).

One other feature that I am looking forward to is the Apple iTunes store that is built right into the Touch. One will be able to download music directly to their iPod and then sync it with their computer when they plug it back in. Pretty cool eh?

Anyway, sounds like an amazing product that I can’t wait to get my hands on!

Also just wanted to let you know that when I do get the Touch. I will make sure to post a really great review so that you can make your decision on whether or not to pick one up!

So stay tuned! I haven’t decided if I am going to pre-order it yet, or just wait for a little while. Either way, i’ll get that thing and be sure to let you guys know what I think.

P.S. Don’t forget to take a look at all the other new iPods like the Shuffle, Nano, and Video. They have all had a makeover, whether it be new colors, features, whatever! Not to mention the Nano now has video capabilities with a larger screen. Also not sure if you noticed, but the iPhone is only $399 now :).

Apple Removes Mighty Mouse Reviews

Just noticed today when searching through the Apple Store online, that they have removed the Mighty Mouse reviews!

I remember a few months checking them out after being displeased with my own Mighty Mouse. If I remember, every single review posted on the mouse was terrible. No body liked it! It’s no wonder why Apple has removed the Customer Reviews on the Mighty Mouse, no body had anything good to say. That’s their own fault for not making a quality product.

No More Mighty Mouse Reviews!

The reason is because the stupid thing craps out after about a month (the scroll ball). Now i’m not saying all Apple producs are bad, as a matter of fact I love them. They just need to spend a little more time with their mice and fix them!

I am now very pleased with my new mouse, the “Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000“. Sadly I must admit this… Microsoft makes great mice.

Saft for Safari 3 Beta

Just wanted to let everyone know that Saft has been released for Safari 3 Beta.

Now that they have partially gotten rid of the crappy form fields on Safari I love it! It just didn’t used to be very developer friendly.

Apple unveils Mac OSX Leopard

I’m sure many of you have already seen this posted on the front page of apple.com, but for those of you who don’t know yet, apple has just unveiled the next stage of the most advanced operating system ever.

Click here to watch the official keynote presentation by Steve Jobs highlighting many of the new features included in this amazing operating system. Apple states that they have added over 300 new features to Leopard, the most ever released at one time.

The one great thing about Apple is that as usual, they will only release one version of Leopard for only $129.99. Also, both 32 and 64bit versions are on the same disc. So no more having to be confused over many versions and 2 different disks for each.

The new features in iChat are some of my personal favorites, however “useless” they may be.

The below video highlights many of the great features included in the new version of Mac’s fantastic operating system.
