How To Choose The Right Product To Promote

I wanted to share with you a good tip to remember when trying to make money off of affiliate products, hence the title “How To Choose The Right Product To Promote”. Of course everyone has a say in what which affiliate product they can promote, but the one thing they can’t have a say in is what the product’s sales page looks like.

The number one rule to remember when choosing the product you want to promote is to make sure the headline pulls you in. You also need to make sure the site is attractive and not something that was just thrown together. People that are buying your product don’t necessarily care about the technical aspects and what it does in general. They care about what the product can do for them at that specific period in time. People want things that can help them out somehow.

In the marketing business, that usually means a tool that can make someone make money faster. People are willing to spend a few dollars to purchase a tool that can potentially make them hundreds of dollars.

Obviously you also want to choose a product that relates to your niche and what your users are interested in. If you pick something that has nothing to do with what you are talking about, chances are nobody is going to buy it.

Well that’s pretty much all I can think of for now. If you want some more clarification make sure to send me an email or post a comment!

Speeding Up Your Web Browser

In today’s internet world, many more sites are implementing features that take a much longer time to load with a slow internet connection. With the advancement of online technology, these websites are able to embed high quality videos, flash, high resolution photos, and java applications right into the web page.

Nothing is more frustrating then having to wait for a page to load while surfing the web or downloading files. Many times a person spends more time waiting for pages to load than actually visiting the pages themselves.

The speed at which your browser loads web pages can be attributed to a few factors. Some of these factors include whether you are using a model or a broadband connection, browser features, settings, and computer processing power. While you can’t do much to change many of these factors without upgrading and spending hundreds, even thousands of dollars, there are a few simple things that you can do to make your web surfing more enjoyable.

One of the easiest things a person can do to slightly increase the speed at which their browser views or downloads files is already on your computer! The first thing you should try is setting your home page on your browser to a blank page. This increases the speed at which your browser opens on startup so it doesn’t have to load a website along with it. A second way to increase your browser’s speed is to uncheck the loading of multimedia in your properties. Depending on the settings you choose, it will prevent your browser from loading multimedia items like videos and images when you open a web page, thus increasing the speed at which the page loads. A final way to increase your browser’s speed using the resources on your computer is by making sure your computer is using temporary files. Your browser may store files on your computer to help websites load faster when you view them again so you want to make sure that this option is set.

While those are all great ways to increase your browser speed, sometimes that just isn’t enough. One of the best and most cost effective ways of increasing your browser speed is by using a browser optimization program. A browser optimization program increases browser speed tremendously, and is a great addition to even the fastest internet connections, as one’s internet connection can never be fast enough. A good example of an optimization program is Download Accelerator or Pal Internet Speed Booster.

By using an optimization program one can greatly improve their browsing experience and spend less time loading pages and more time enjoying the websites that you are interested in.

Cell Phone Secrets: Watch a video on your phone

Here is a list of things I used to make this tutorial possible:
- LG VX 8600 Chocolate Flip Phone
- MPEG Streamclip (Mac or Windows)
- 1gig MicroSD card (around 15 bucks on Amazon)
- USB Card Reader (99 cents on Amazon)
- My Brain

I have the lg vx8600 but I am pretty sure this will work on almost any phone you have (of course it has to have video compatibility).

When I first got my phone I also purchased a 1gig micro SD card to go along with it. I am so glad I did, because there are so many cool things a person can do with their phone. Recently I was messing around trying to put some videos on the phone and it really took a while to figure out the process. My phone accepts the mobile 3gpp video as well as mpeg-4. The problem was however, that I was trying to convert from an .mpg file and apparently the audio is hard to separate from the video. What kept happening was that my phone would play the video after it was converted on my phone, but my phone could not recognize the audio.

Finally, after hours of messing around I found a very awesome program. The name is “MPEG Streamclip“. This product allowed me to convert my .mpg videos without losing the audio file. The program works great and it is easy to use! It also has a feature to convert videos to ipod format and almost any other format you can thing of. I think it even works with music files.

One key thing to remember when transferring a video to a phone is that you must know what frame rate your phone accepts! Otherwise when you try to play a video with a different frame rate, it will look like a broken record. My phone uses 15fps so I would suggest trying that if you cannot find the documentation for your phone.

The cool thing about putting videos on your phone is that once you perfect it, you can even figure out how to fit an entire movie on your sd card! A full movie when set to the right quality should only take up around 400mb!

It may sound kind of hard to do at first, but once you know how it only takes a few minutes.

Hope someone finds this little guide of help! If anyone else wants to add to this just leave me a comment.

LGVX8600 - The “Flippy” LG Chocolate Review

I just switched cell phone carriers to Verizon Wireless and ended up purchasing the LG VX8600 to go along with it.

The first thing I thought of with this phone, is that it is very similar in features to the LG Chocolate. However, I especially liked this phone for the fact it was not as bulky as the Chocolate. It is a lot thinner so it fits in the pocket better, and even still has the cool touch sensitive buttons on the cover for controlling your music.

The lgvx8600 also includes a 1.3mp digital camera as opposed to the older vga style cameras. The pictures are definitely a lot more crisp and you can take higher resolution photos. I never expected that I would be getting such a nice camera on a cellphone. The phone even has a feature that allows you to zoom in on your photos so you can see even the smallest details directly on your phone without having to upload it to your computer.

When you have a missed call, or more than one, you no longer have to flip open the phone to scroll through all of your missed calls. The screen on the front of the phone under the camera lens allows you to scroll through ALL of your missed calls whenever you miss one, all without ever opening the phone.

One thing that is starting to become an annoyance is the glossy coating on the phone. It seems to get smudged up quite often and it takes time to clean off all of those little smears, being the perfectionist that I am.

I also have a slight problem with Verizon trying to force you to buy songs off their VCast program and making it as hard as they can to just put songs on from your computer. Although the phone can only hold 1 or 2 songs itself, you are still forced to get a memory card before you import songs onto your phone. The only other way to do it is by using bluetooth to import the song to your “My Sounds” folder instead of your “My Music” folder. Although that’s only if you don’t have a MicroSD card, and you can buy them cheap from Amazon.

Supposedly the phone only supports WMA audio files, but I have heard that it also supports mp3 files. I have yet to figure that out as I haven’t received the SD card I just ordered the other day. I believe Verizon did this to compete with Apple’s iTunes, which is really dumb in my opinion

In addition to the smudges and the music issues, this phone is pretty solid and has some great features. It’s a big step up from the old NOKIA I had before I got this one. Sadly, it almost makes my iPod Shuffle obsolete. Keep in mind that most of the negative aspects of the phone are in the software that Verizon uses, not the phone itself (i.e. the music compatibility).
