I have always really liked how Safari, the “os x browser”, was set up and how it worked except there were a few features that were lacking compared to Mozilla Firefox. That is why I have stayed with Firefox for all of these years, it has those extra features that I need.
Finally the other day I was surfing the internet like I often do, and found this great plugin for Safari called “Saft“. It implements many, many new features into the browser including the memory of tabs so when you close the program and re-open it your previous websites will automatically be pulled up on the screen. It also features the control-drag scrolling and fullscreen browsing. There are tons and tons of other little features that this program adds to the Safari browser, but i’ll let you guys figure those out for yourself.
It’s a very inexpensive program for only $12.00, hence the reason I bought it. Now I use Safari all the time and probably will never go back to Firefox. This program has one many awards and it really is as great as it advertises. I almost forgot to mention one of the greatest features, it also allows you to run Safari in Aqua as opposed to the brushed metal look.
The only problem now, is that I don’t have the handy little ftp client built in to my browser so I will have to look for a new one of those. Preferably free if anyone knows of a good one they should let me know. =)
