Matrix - For Real…Joe Eigo

This guy’s good… real good. I have never seen anyone bounce around as well as this guy does. WOW

Safari Spell Check

As you have probably realized from my last post, I have been using Mac’s Safari a lot more often now. The other day I happened to be browsing around and noticed that Safari wasn’t spell checking my typing as Firefox does. This was one of my favorite features of Firefox and was dissapointed as it seemed as though Safari didn’t have that great feature I had always loved!

Not to fear! I did a little research and realized that Safari does have a spell check feature. I know this is probably dumb because you probably know about this feature, but at the time I was bummed out so I hope to at least save some of you from the same feelings.

All you have to do by the way, is highlight over a textarea field and go to “Edit > Spelling > Check Spelling as You Type”, and from now on when you start typing it will automatically check your spelling just like Firefox!

I just thought I would share that little tidbit with you.

Saft - Plugin for Safari

I have always really liked how Safari, the “os x browser”, was set up and how it worked except there were a few features that were lacking compared to Mozilla Firefox. That is why I have stayed with Firefox for all of these years, it has those extra features that I need.

Finally the other day I was surfing the internet like I often do, and found this great plugin for Safari called “Saft“. It implements many, many new features into the browser including the memory of tabs so when you close the program and re-open it your previous websites will automatically be pulled up on the screen. It also features the control-drag scrolling and fullscreen browsing. There are tons and tons of other little features that this program adds to the Safari browser, but i’ll let you guys figure those out for yourself.

It’s a very inexpensive program for only $12.00, hence the reason I bought it. Now I use Safari all the time and probably will never go back to Firefox. This program has one many awards and it really is as great as it advertises. I almost forgot to mention one of the greatest features, it also allows you to run Safari in Aqua as opposed to the brushed metal look.

The only problem now, is that I don’t have the handy little ftp client built in to my browser so I will have to look for a new one of those. Preferably free if anyone knows of a good one they should let me know. =)

New Domain

Just bought a new domain today (http://www.nicklarson.com). I made it redirect to this site so you can use it if you want =). In the future I hope to use that domain as a place to put my online portfolio, but for now I will just use at as an alternative link to nclarson.

New look

Just updated the look of the website. Was bored and getting sick of what I used to have. Let me know what you think =)

P.S. The only thing I really changed is the header. Another cool feature is the ability to register on my site so you don’t have to keep entering your information when you post a comment!
